I think aliastwo was inspired by my complaint last week about the NYT. Knowing many people are in the same dilemma as me, he/she wrote such a program. I believe it's from good faith with 95% confidence. We should thank him/her for this kind favor.

However, at least for my case, because I am very ignorant in computer, and the internet is a jungle, I have to adopt some passive way to protect myself. Rule of thrumb for Miss Paranoid is to never download anything unless it's necessary and already have good reputation, like sth. from your OS company (you have to) or some tools necessary for your work. Unfortunately this one (the substitute is $49.95*1.175) is not among them, and I have to waste your favor. Sorry for that. My OS is good in the sense that, as far as I know, it never install something automatically and always ask for my password whenever something is installed (I hope I can trust it for a long time, but I know people are trying to attacked something claiming to be good, and whenever you think of "never", it is ever happenning). However, good OS design and configuration is only a small step towards a safter environment. Nothing can stop you giving out a root password. Nothing can stop human behaving stupidly. And I am afraid, and I should thank Squirrel for pointing this out to anyone who is not aware of the dangers around.

I believe aliastwo is a good person. I really believe so. I can see it because aliastwo was the one who is trying to point me some way to read NYT columns and I really appreciate that. But I am afraid and I don't know whether I should trust people.
