Dalai Lama likes to say "cultural genocide", Clarence Thomas said he was "lynched" during the Anita Hill hearings, etc. The point is not that Chinese is rich in analogies, the point is that sometimes it is hard to not use analogies, and if you don't you sound as if you were a foreign speaker of Chinese.
