but I made my fortune in engineering. There was no competition in terms of engineering skills. A real good physics education prepares you for anything. Engineering training as a undergrad is too narrow. Many engineering students don't learn how to think -- they never really master the underlying field, they are limited to what are said in the textbooks.
U.S. system is the best for creative types. One should not get narrowly focused too early.
