calls for teaching "that accurately reflects the role of affected populations of the continent of Asia, the subcontinent of South Asia, and the Pacific Islands in the many historical events leading up to and during World War II" in California schools. It has passed both chambers of the legislature, but allegedly the Japanese consulate is lobbying against it.
Call the Governer to make sure that he signs it. Here is what you can do:
call 916-445-2841
press 2 to voice opinion on legislations
press 0 to speak to an operator (SB684 is not listed in he phone menu)
tell him/her that you support SB684 and would like the Governer to sign it
