everything in the disaster is to voice your displeasure to your electived representatives. They will take action promptly if there is enough pressure. They have proved they are capable of making difficult decision under extreme circumstance: they can meet and pass a bill in the middle of night just for a half dead woman.
Federal government has more than enough money and material available for the relief effort, but unfortunately these people on television are poor and black, so there is a degree of indifference and lacks a sense of urgency among politicians and general public. Now Bush has seen what is really going on. He should have understood what the problem is. I expect the situation will improve greatly within hours.
