I can't read the science express PDF, but basically the mouse will be slow in metabolism, which renders life no fun.
I think somebody found a similar stuff in C. elegan, in which the little worm gets extremely slow in everything, and it lives much longer than usual.
Turtle can live hundreds of years, but they walk slowly.
This, in fact, proves that exercise actually decreases human life. I hold this tenet dearly. :-)
