The incidence of leukemia has increased over the past decades. I am not sure whether this will have any impact on the BMJ study or not.
Because the BMJ study were conducted using national cancer registry (for both case and control), the author couldn't adjust for many risk factors including diet, environmental poisson exposure, and family history. Their socioeconomic status adjustment is also weak.
