barbarious than Koran which was written less than 1500 years ago. Historically, people in the Christiandom had killed more people in a more barbarious way (burning, for example) than their contemporaries in the Islamic world. It's not the difference in their holy books or the traditions that makes the difference in today's western world and Islamic world, it's the ability to modify it, to evolute to a more gentle, human, tolerant culture. Christiandom had succeeded, and if the western world doesn't help, I fail to see the Islamic world would succeed.
Unless you can kill all Muslims without feeling guilty, the peace won't arrive until we have a more enlightened Islamic world. To archive it, of course you need to bring enlightenment with an approachable attitude. Resepct their tradition and faith, but encourage them to evolute like Christianity did.
