回答: It's a scientific matter, so use the language of science 由 Enlighten 于 2005-1-17, 16:41:15:

ok. that makes sense to me. but scientific theory is different from practice. this is the gap between the two types of knowledge: what Aristotle would call "theoria" and "praxis". for example, knowing all the scientific facts about how an acorn grows into a tree does not provide all the necessary knowledge or guidelines to have an actual tree planted and taked care of so that it may grow. environmental scientists often don't plant trees like the farmers do, and environmentalists often don't have the adquate knowledge about bio-sphere. similarly, many educational experts don't know how to teach kids when they are actually in the classroom, and many school teachers are burdened with teaching duties without more theoreticla guidance. in this sense, neither theoretical knowledge or practical knowlege alone can be the master key to all human problems.
