And remember, the outcomes of particular events also depend on human reactions/behaviors (and luck as well, e.g., how quickly you can develop an effective vaccine). These sorts of nuances are not somebody like jhuang can understand.

Anyway, I am not defending Ferguson here. The performance of Ferguson's model (or his personal ethnics) is irrelevant to my points in my posts above.
