the recent multiple news indicate deep rooted corruption so pervasive covering all areas.
1. jiang ping
when fang questioned, my initial thought was maybe this time he went too far, how could some one dare to fake in math? the mother of all sciences! (i admitted despite so many yeas of math education, it's basically all gone, look at all those tests, symbols, formulas, the only mind for me: they are all gibberish...)
but then a math scholar carefully analyzed her stuff, then there's news she declined to continue test and wanted go back to farming. just another example of when fang says sth, one better listen.
now most likely this fiasco is another attempt to screw gaokao, get more frauds through backdoor.
2. li xue qin
this famous so called grassroot talent actually is not grass rooted at all, she graduated from beida! now there's saying her admission into beida was fraud too, based on this (in)famous bonus points , she had some special talents, adding points to her gaokao score.
remember fang once disclosed that liaoning school produced hundreds of football talents? of course as soon as they got into universtiy, all quit football!
gaokao better have no additional bonus points at all! it's just another way to screw the poor.

like jiang, when i first read this, i just couldn't believe, how could one fake chess talent, just a few games with masters and you will be exposed. of course this wang only do online...
yet how come he remained #1 on master points for more than decade, until real gurus like liu dahua starting to expose him.
it's just like e. holmes story, in sillcon valley real insiders all knew she is phony, but there's a big vip group behind hte whole fraud concerning lots of dinero...
back to my main point:
at this stage of china, gaokao can't be changed at all, even the seemed harlmess suggestion of holding 2-3 tests instead of just solo annually could be more harm than good. nation already spend huge resources to maintain law and order of just 1 test for record number of students (over 13 million this year), 2-3 just make frauds more likely.
one doesn't need to be a genius to figure it out:
every time when there's talk about gaokao reform, the chance of it favoring more about the poor is highly unlkikely, only the reverse:
like a few years ago during the 2 sessions, one delegated blankly said; it's no use the poor studying, farming or low service/manufacturing jobs are best for them ( slaves produces more slaves, forget about social ladder, many many years ago lu yao already told the story of goa jialin)
