As I said TW future is mainly decided by TW onwn people. As the best place in Asia ( Bette than japan, sk and singapore all things considered), they should be mature enough to know status quo is the best.

TW people should be confident, time is on their side. Wait for mainland to peaceful evolve is the safest east bet.

No unification, no separation. They should neither worry about US giving them up ( no way, that is simply surrender to China) nor about mainland invasion (xi and ccp is not crazy). Mainstream kmt and dpp vips should and could work together, because that’s what majority TW people want. And that would prevent a tragedy like Ukraine, a tragedy harming all Chinese no matter where.
