I did the same wrong for my first manuscript.
Fortunately, there was a very nice editor-in-chief from Purdue. She wrote something like, "Hi, I understand it's hard for non-English speaking people to prepare manuscript... I re-wrote that paragraph for you...". I was so moved.
When I am reviewing others' manuscripts, whenever possible, I always correct their English as much as I can. Not like most Chinese journals normally do, just a very cold, "sorry, rejected".
