It may be unfortunate that I picked up a definition at a wrong website. But the point is that the definition of science is changing, depending on which group of people you are talking with. For example, basic scientists and social scientists may give you different definitions, with the one definition more narrow and another more inclusive.
About Chinese medicine. You might already know that NIH has a National Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine, to support the research in this field, of course, in a scientific way.
