Pasternak was born February 10, 1890, into a cultivated Jewish family in Moscow and was educated at the universities of Moscow and of Marburg, Germany.

Pasternak spent the summer of 1930 at a dacha in Irpen, outside Kiev, where a stormy romance started between him and Zinaida Nikolaevna Neigauz, the wife of the pianist Genrikh Neigauz. She subsequently left her husband and married Pasternak, after he divorced Evgeniia.

In the fall of 1931 he traveled with Zinaida to Georgia. During this trip Pasternak began a lifelong friendship with the Georgian poets who belonged to the group Blue Horns, particularly with Titsian Tabidze, and he soon began translating their poems into Russian. These translations became one of his greatest achievements of the 1930s and raised his standing in the Soviet literary world.

1934年,布哈林自己还自顾不暇,替别人向斯大林求情的可能不大
Stalin lined up Politburo members against Bukharin and stripped him of all his party positions in 1929. He briefly regained some of his prestige when he became editor of Izvestia (News), the official government newspaper, in 1934. Arrested on charges of Trotskyist activities in 1937, he was convicted as a traitor during one of the Stalin purge trials and executed the following year.

In 1934, Joseph Stalin telephoned Boris Pasternak - a friend of Osip Mandelstam, who had been jailed for lampooning Stalin in verse. "We old Bolsheviks never deny our friends," the tyrant remarked, and promptly hung up.

斯大林不会打电话通知诗人他已经饶恕了曼德尔施塔姆。
