You have probably signed an indemnity form before the x-ray. In the US, you only have a realistic chance of winning if you were exposed to the radiation without your knowledge, or you encountered it through your profession, and your employer did not take necessary precautions despite knowing the risks.

If you are concerned about the tumor, of course the best way to determine whether it is cancerous is with a biopsy.
