Dear Didi

Ping Fu published a Chinese book in 1996 (Piao Liu Ping--Lv Mei San Ji, "http://books.google.com/books/about/漂流瓶_旅美散记_世界之旅丛.html?id=ozIxAAAACAAJ")

In this book, she wrote:

1) she "grew up on an university campus in Nanjing" (page 15)

2) there was NO SINGLE word for her Shanghai papa and Shanghai mama, no single word for her life in Shanghai

3) her first love happened in Albuquerque, who was her neighbor in Nanjing (p. 37-44)

4) on the third day after she arrived Albuquerque, her first love called her and they had dinner together (p. 37-44). Did she say that right after she arrived Albuquerque, she was kidnapped and retained by a Vietnamese-American? Was she supposed to stay in a room at that time?

5) There was NO SINGLE WORD for her first husband

6) When she worked in San Diego as she studied there, her hourly wage was 15 dollars per hour. Her first pay check for one month was 3600 dollars. So she should work 8 hours per day and 7 days a week to earn that much of money (p. 63-64). By this rate and work schedule, her annual salary should be 43,200 dollars, which was much lower than 80,000 dollars

7) when she was Nanjing, she helped her mother to translate English song. She at least knew two more English words: honey, kiss (p. 7)

You can borrow this book from 北京 国家图书馆。

For this Chinese book, she was the only author, so no ghost writer.
