This photo was taken mid-November at Squaw Creek National Preserve in Mound City, MO, using a Canon EF 100-400 lens. The Canadian Snow Geese reside here for a few weeks twice a year on their migratory path. The park can get up to 1,000,000 geese at a time! This picture is called "The Wall"; as they take off en masse from time to time. To me, this is a bounty of wildlife that is hopeful of a bountiful 2013 for all.
