The essence of China flavored socialism / communism is to mobilize the mass to collect all wealth from the rich and then redistribute those wealth to the elite, in the name of the people. Equality is just a claim used to fool the mass to take advantage of them. Look at the history of new China, especially the recent decades, the "classes" are getting much more distanced.
