a simple way to do it is to reinitiate the password by sending an email to the original register.
For example, if one finds his pen name has been misused, he just click "forgot password" and a random password will be sent to the original email address, so that the original register can use this random password to change the password.
But the problem is that XYS may not store the email address for everybody.
It is a upgrade problem. Unfortunately I forgot perl and was lazy to learn new tricks these days.
