Case Report
***, a 30-year-old Chinese man was admitted to PUMCH with the chief complaint of “fever, diarrhea and lower GI bleeding”.He was diagnosed as IBD,and treated with 5-ASA and prednisone. He was performed emergency surgery because of large amount of lower GI bleeding in December,2005. And the pathologic result showed definitely Crohn’s Disease. After the operation he was given the treatment of “hydrocortisone, azathiopurine, 5-ASA”(regular treatment). But the lab test showed the white blood cell decreased (the count at 1.7×109/l), so azathiopurine was stopped. He still had the symptoms of intermittent lower GI bleeding and fever., and was diagnosed as “refractory CD”. Now he is given the treatment of infliximab (5mg/kg ;0,2,6 weeks).
