"great leap forward". You all dismiss the concept all together like it is evil. In fact the idea of GLF is very good. The reason it failed was only because the whole thing was poorly managened from beginning: the goal was too aggresive and was set without good reason; activities were not planned out in detail; resources were not efficiently allocated because there was no plan; and progress was not monitored and scientifically measured; etc etc. But all these mistakes don't give you a ground for you to completely dismiss the idea.
