I don't think Korean war or Vietnam war where countries commit many troops is the style of future wars in a long time. They could have only happened (right or not so long)after WWII. And countries recognise problems of the style.
We are going back to pre WWII where colonies and settlement are the way to go and their acquisitions will be done with minimal troops involved. This will demand the absolute superiority of our's military and the US is in this position.
