Protectionism or not, globalization will continue, either through peaceful trade or through war. In either case, some people win and others lose.
But from SuanZhang point of view, even workers who are affected by offshoring are not total losers. They at least have access to cheaper products because of globalization, becasue "a dollar you save is a dollar you earn". THis fact is often under stated by commentators.
