Unlike in some fields, a CS PhD can easily find well-paid regular job. A postdoc position in CS is definitely a training, rather than a cheap labor. I knew some people went to good postdoc positions after couple of years of faculty job.
If you check Jin Hai's resume, by the time he came to the US for postdoc training, he already held the credential as a senior researcher. Also, his specitalty is actually in EE(CE). A $150K job is very logical.
I never met Jin Hai, but met several people who knew him. Jin is an outstanding scientist by all measurement.
