He stayed at Mot for only 2-3 years. If he was not in the DSP group, he probably had no way to get into any servers that stored the design and simulation codes. Even if he was in DSP group, he was a test engineer, his access to the front-end codes was not automatic. I do not know Motorola. But I do know a few big companies. I think Mot is the most complicated because its offices are scattered all over the places.
