回答: Even though Korean War is a part of Cold War, 由 xinku 于 2006-2-27, 13:27:48:

You don't seem to understand the nature of war. In fact, majority of wars in history don't have a clear winning or losing. When people talk about winning/losing a war, it depends more on agendas rather than the historical aspects. There are many different measures, you can always pick one that you like. During the First Gulf War, Saddam Hussin claimed he defeated the multinational force led by the US. In a sense, he's correct. The multinational force didn't advance further, and stopped short in totally disarming Iraq. Majority of Iraqi ground force were intact... I mean I can go, on and on. Korean War is the same. You can picked up a point that Chinese and north Korean drove the UN force. That's true, however, I can equally claimed that the UN force drove back the communists advancement and push them back to the 38 parallel, remember the North Korean started out trying to unify Korea. Gen. McArthur miscalculated Chinese, and he was defeated. Yes, however, Mao Tsetung also had his time that he had to retreat to the middle of nowhere to hide from the KMT. If he had been removed from power, he would had been an idiot in Chinese history.

War is not a sport, or game, and is definitly not a childplay as you think. It is a complicated event with serious political, economical, social, psycological implication. Studying warfare isn't a role playing game to battle one's own inferior complex. Studying warfare is about understand the reason, the long term impacts to the political, the economics, and social orders. To understand why it starts, why it ends, and how it can be avoid...

I shouldn't waste my time with you, you won't listen anyway.
