It has good meaning (of course), but not that straightforward, very subtle. You need to know a bit literature (as my dad always flatter himself) to appreciate it. But it's also natural and the pronouciation is very good.
My little uncle's name has very straightforward good meaning--so it's common.
I think the principle of giving a name is to give a simple name, hence the kids won't have problem in writing it. And, the prounciation must be good.
