Agree with what you said, comapnies are not run by democracy.

Now, for a person living in the west, say U.S., he/she spends 1/3 of a day in a non-democratic environment, 1/3 on his/her way to work and back home, walking, watching TV, having meals, 1/3 of time in sleep, and perhaps 2% of a day having sex...

For a person living in China, working in a state owned and operated corporation, such as in the press that publishes "Freezing Point". It seems to me an employee enjoyes 1/3 of his/her day in a democratic environment at workplace, 1/3 of a day on commuting, walking, eating, shopping, playing and 1/3 of a day in sleep and perhaps more than 2% of a day having sex if he/she is lucky. So my conclusion is that Chinese seem to enjoy mor democracy in their life time...
