started from the time when Muhammad established the first Muslim state in Medina in 622. In the eyes of orthodox christians, Muhammad's religion is a heresy.

But deep in the root, the confliction between west europeans and Arabians began when the word arab first appeared. The wars between Roman Caesar and Arabians are well recorded. It's because of economics,ethnics, and georgraphics.

In fact, it doesn't matter which religion those arabians believe, the war is there and will be there for a long long time.
