The bigger issue is what society should do to help the poor and underprivileged. Children trapped in situations like this are the most vulnerable. Tragedies like this one happen everyday not only in China, but also in the US and other countries around the world, although situations are better in certain places than others. An individual really can not do much. I wonder anybody has an answer. In this case, an early appeal to the public by the guy who took the pictures may have saved the girl's life, but who knows? He did his best and continued with his effort until the girl's death. It is not fair to blame him at all. It’s just a sad story.
