One of my friend has both his parents and his parents in law here in the States. His parents live with them because they cannot take care of themselves.

His in laws live in a two bedroom apartment paying only $60/month, which includes all the utilities. His in laws also get about $800-$1000 per month per person from the government. His in laws has never worked in the States.

Most people in the States think living on less than $1000/month is not luxuary at all.
