the founding fathers may have took Islam as a very remote and unlikely threat, I still disagree that they would put US under rule of Christianity. Because that is in conflict with everything they believed in and identified with. In fact, if they could forsee the situation in 20th or 21st century, they would probably extend the 1st amendment to forbit US to take any action to side with any nation amongst a religeous conflict.
