SHA-1 collision algorithm is also found, too, not by Wang, though. I read it about a month ago on slashdot.
Hash is a common concept. So no matter what hash function you use in your classified network, hash attack is always a potentially powerful attack.
Wang made a major discovery in MD5, isn't it a break through in cryptography?
