I am not an experts, however, these information are common sense. First of all, bullets are not that hot, experiments have been done many times that unless tracer rounds are used, bullet fire won't even light up gasoline, let alone charcoaled skin. Also, when a bullet is shot into human body either the stopping power, depends on which schools, some uses energy transfer, other uses hydrostatic shock to explain what exactly happens, causes the bullet to tear tissues and damage organ. Even if it is a tracer round, tissue damage, and bleeding always occurs unless the person is dead. There are different effects on the people getting shot. Some panic and faint, others despite being shot multiple times still manage to do certain things. One example is that two robbers with heavy weapons and body armors, and they were both high on cock. Each of them were shot multiple times, and they were still shooting at police.

In any case, when a person got shot, the bullet either stay inside the body, which the bullet turned into mushroom shape, and causes more damage, or it exits the body which creates the exit wound. The exit wound is much bigger due to the bullet losing momentum, and more tissues were tore by the bullet that also may cause severe bleeding.
