Everybody starts learning English from A,B,C, there is nothing to laugh at. She knows no English at 1997, so what, that is why she started learning. It is just a matter of time. I didn't see there is anything to be ashamed of. Now the time has come. It is unfair to say ten years later, her English cannot beat you up. Who knows?
You might think that she is not qualified for admission
into Tsinghua, Cambridge. But remember, there are always
exceptions for truely exceptional figures. People get
Green Card through category Eb1-1 in a few months. :)
She is a woman of extrodinary ability, achievement and, yes, determination. She has been crowned PingPang No.1 in the world. I am glad to see the world is rewarding to her. I believe she is also a hardworking fellow to "earn" her degree. Even you are pretty much upset, but remember, she is celebrity. Celebrity has always, and will always have much more priviledge, and opportunity than us. I am just be proud of her new achievement.
