It has real-time scheduling, and very scure; it runs linux applications, and its gnome desktop, evolution mailer, firefox/moziler brower are easy to use. It is hard to say that the gnome desktop isn't pretty. It also have office software. MacOS X is unix based too, and its gui is much better than windows.

See those goals are not unachivable, it just takes a lot, not just programmers to develope. I don't think China has the ability to do that, at least for now.
