That general speak soemthings to the media
and you can not expect accuracy in such media
talk. All such talk are ppurus and far-fetched.

Even serious research no matter where it is done
is full of such BS. For a long time Academics
(Civilian or military) thought the Chinese commander
in Chief in Korean War was Lin Biao but Not Peng
Dehuai and wrote down such in many history books.

In fact, some historian stil inssit Lin was the commander and claim Lin was not mentioned in
CHinese history for his role in Korean War
was due to the fact he fled and died in 1971.

Such opinions were very common in the West
but outrageously absurd if you see from Chinese
point of view and not even worth refuting.

If you have to refute it, then you can say
even when Lin was still No 2 under Mao,
no Chinese propaganda say Lin commanded
troops in Korean War. and Peng was
disgraced in 1959 much earlier.

My points. Such talks are not to be nickpicked
even if they can be.
